Welcome to our Olive Oil Cookbook
We have started gathering olive oil recipes to share with you and although we are probably not as busy as a parent juggling work, kids, commuting and cooking but maintaining 1000 olive trees on our farm Tenuta Le Mandorlaie in Maremma, Tuscany Italy does take some time.
We are all busy, and if you are like us then most evenings we choose between the microwave and the grill. For me the choice depends on my energy level at the end of the day.
Cooking with olive oil
in the long run will pay dividends by lower medical costs. At least the self induced medical costs that come with clogging arteries from fast food or eating the wrong type of fats with a meal.
What may seem easy to me may seem like, to much work for you. I am just trying to keep the slicing and dicing to a minimum.
I use a lot of fish as a main entree because I can either pop it in the micro, or throw it on the grill either way a little drizzle of olive oil and some salsa seems to be an easy meal for me. I am trying to utilize the Mediterranean diet.
I hope you will send me a recipe that you like and consider easy, I will post it if it uses foods from the Mediterranean food pyramid.
So what is the easiest olive oil recipe? I have found the easiest recipe which is a party favorite to be a multigrain bread dipped into a mixture of Balsamic Vinegar and olive oil. I pour the vinegar on to a small plate and pour the olive oil in the center, the mix is also visually appealing and the oil stays separated from the oil making it easy to dip bread into the plate and sop up a little of each for a taste treat.
In the following Olive Oil recipes I have listed some nutritional information. I am always mindful of the portion size.
